For my first day of Me-Made-May yesterday, I wore another recently completed Renfrew.
It was a Sewaholic pattern day, apparently, because I paired my Renfrew with my Thurlow trousers. My Thurlow trousers which no longer fit right. 🙁 I hadn’t worn them in a few months, and now I found out they fit really weird.
They used to have a pretty tight fit, but now they’re wrinkling and sagging. I am happy that I’ve apparently lost more weight than I realized on my bottom half. However, after looking at the pictures, I’m a bit embarrassed that I was out in public in these pants. Oh well! 🙂
Anyway, back to the new Renfrew top. I’ve had this vintage, light purple knit in my stash for a long time. I think I acquired it at a yard sale a couple years ago. It has a cute, raised Chevron pattern.
I cut the same size as my first Renfrew (4 at the bust and hips, curving to a 0 at the waist). However, the fit is much more snug than the first top because this knit has a lot less stretch than I realized.
It stretched out a bit, but when I first put it on there was an ever-so-slight boob squishage happening.
The sleeves are a teensy bit snug, but nothing restrictive or uncomfortable.
Yipee, for another casual top!
